As much as I applaud the reporter for taking the initiative to get this story, I’m still deeply disturbed that she used the word victim instead of survivor. There’s a big difference. The difference is that the perpetrator lost control when the survivor reported her abuse (to the news, police, etc.), and that ladies (and oh so few gentlemen) is why she is a survivor.
